We provide daily cleaning services to nursery, primary and secondary schools throughout term time, with deep cleaning works undertaken during school holidays. We also have a great deal of experience in the TUPE transferring in of cleaning staff from local government employers, as schools choose to outsource their cleaning requirements.

Safeguarding is of course extremely important in any setting where people are working with children, and our staff undergo an enhanced child/adult Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which is redone every three years.

Safeguarding training is provided in line with our company policies on Child Protection and we work in conjunction with the school’s designated safeguarding leads.

Our child protection policy forms part of the training and is included in the site Contract Control Manual for the reference of staff. It is also used to deliver refresher training on safeguarding as a toolbox talk.

Cleaning techniques

Most surfaces can be cleaned using a mild detergent and our standard environmentally safe products are excellent for this, backed up with a deep disinfection periodically. However as some soft play equipment is manufactured with a durable and antimicrobial coating, we work with the school staff and manufactures to agree the right methods and products and the cleaning staff are trained accordingly.

Wherever possible we undertake most of the routine cleaning outside of school hours when there are no students present, so that the cleaning operative can work unhindered and the disruption to the children is minimised.

Day time cleaners and janitor staff are there through the school day to cope with any spillages or emergencies.

Ideal has the expertise, structure and capability to provide routine and one-off cleaning works for; individual retail units, outlets, chains or whole shopping centres. As well as cleaning retail space, we also attend to public amenities and food courts. We can work in partnership with individual store owners, landlords or managing agents.

Yes – Ideal’s pricing includes the supply and maintenance of all the necessary; equipment, materials and chemicals required by the cleaning operatives to fully perform their duties.

It does not include ‘Consumables’ – by which we mean things like Paper Towels, Liquid Soap, Toilet Rolls and Refuse Sacks. These are available from Ideal but are separate from the main contract price.
